All-Pro limit initiated in Blancpain Endurance
« on: October 03, 2017, 09:13:06 PM »
The SRO has made some changes to Blancpain Endurance's rules to prevent completely professional teams (like Kapersky, which Fisico drives for) from dominating the championship. In previous years, the usual line-up was to have one professional driver with two amateur ones, but this year, there have been 35 teams who have all-professional driver line-ups.

Teams with all-professional numbers are now limited to 26 (out of a field of 55) in all races except the Spa 24 Hours. That race will remain unrestricted. It is not clear if Kapersky wishes to be among the 26, as it has not yet reacted to the news.

Other changes include a rule that every driver in each line-up must do qualifying.

Finally, we have the Blancpain Endurance calendar. Assuming Fisico is in it, he'll race on the following dates:

13-14 March: France - Circuit Paul Ricard Test Days
21-22 April: Italy Monza (Endurance Cup)
19-20 May: Great Britain Silverstone (Endurance Cup)
01-02 June: France Paul Ricard 1000 km (Endurance Cup)
03 July: Belgium Spa-Francorchamps Test Day
26-29 July: Belgium Total 24 Hours of Spa (Endurance Cup)
29-30 September: Spain Barcelona (Endurance Cup)
