Update after 1 hour and 52 minutes:

Leader: #7 Toyota (Conway)
LMP2: #26 G-Drive (Vergne, P7)
GTE-Pro:  #92 Porsche (Vanthoor, P29)
GTE-Am: #54 Spirit of Race (Flohr, P42)

Fisico has handed over the Spirit of Race to Thomas Flohr this lap whilst retaining his lead. A spectacular opening stint. Molto grazie Fisico  8)

The back part of the circuit involving Mulsanne, Porsche and Arnage is now in a Slow Zone.

Here is a photo of the #86 Keating going towards the wall. It fared better than that time Fisico hit it in practise back in 2012, as it appears the car is still potentially driveable.

Fisico is still leading but is due to pit this lap. The #61 Clearwater and one other GTE-Am pitted last lap.

The #86 Barker (Barker P58, last GTE-Am) has crashed into the barrier at the Porsche Curves. The #38 Chan (Tung P14, 8th LMP2) has a puncture. It is unclear if these are related.

Fisico, meanwhile, continues to be a steady 0.6 seconds ahead of the chasing #88 Dempsey (Carioli, P44, 2nd GTE-Am). It's lap 24, so expect both to pit in 2 laps.

The #6 Manor/TRSM (Brundle P21, 8th LMP1) has a stop/go penalty for pit exit wheelspin.

The #86 Barker (Barker, P46, lead GTE-Am) is pitting remarkably early (8 laps, when it managed 12 last time and the class is permitted 13). Fisico takes the class lead, the #88 Dempsey (Carioli) tracking him like a magnet.

Meanwhile, an unidentified LMP2 team forgot to withdraw the jacks from its car, leaving it momentarily spinning its wheels in the air.
