James is catching the Mercedes at 0.6 seconds per lap, so could possibly catch it before the next set of pit stops.

Note that pitstops must last at least 90 seconds, and the #7 Bentley's already been penalised for this (and back-flagged for ignoring that penalty).

James is 5th due to not pitting yet.

Apparently there are still cars being brought back to teams from the start-line accident... ...that happened over 2 hours ago.

James still hasn't pitted (most other people have) and he is now 3rd, in a quest for track position.

The #63 lime-green Lambourghini which I think was P2 before it pitted has had a slow stop due to a stuck seat insert.

James is now leading the race! Pit stop due any minute, but James is doing brilliantly :)

James is still out there. He's matching the times set by the cars behind (despite them having fresher tyres and drivers). Fisico is, however, ready.

The GTE-Am leader - the Ferrari #488 - has just retired in a plume of engine smoke.

We have a rather confused Fisico as James finally pits and hands over the car to him. Forza Fisico!

Fisico is 6th, 47 seconds behind the race leader. A good starting point, and Fisico's going to be able to push his tyres much harder than those around him, since they have 15 minutes' less work to do than some.

In his enthusiasm to finally do some racing, Fisico appears to have forgotten to move the driver selector mechanism. So "Calado" is still 6th...
